Coming in Early 2026 (Feb – Apr)

Moving onto the narrow walkway was a disorienting affair. There was a railing, but with ships whizzing by, every step felt like a slip away from plummeting to his death. He considered doubling back to borrow one of the discarded EVA suits he’d seen near the hatch. Two of the workers saw him struggling, however, and made their way over toward him. “Are you mad?” the first one shouted through his mask.

Rafian shrugged, looked him over appraisingly and thought of several deadly responses if he turned out to be hostile. The second was much more reserved, but his behavior hinted at him being a subordinate to the first. “Not mad, but I have credits if you’re willing to help me find a friend. Last I heard he came down here, and his family hasn’t seen him since. Do you know anything about that?”

The men exchanged glances, and the quiet one stepped away to return to his job. The first, whose brown, freckled face and shock of green hair exposed him as a Meluvian far from home, softened at the mention of credits. “SatSec?” he asked, and when Rafian shook his head, he responded with a sidelong glance. “Alliance spy?”

“Let us go with that. I am with the Alliance, and I came to meet a friend. Someone frightened him into running here, and it wasn’t for a job. I know there’s a refuge. You don’t have to escort me. I give you credits, and all I need is for you to show me where to go. Whether I get in or not isn’t up to you, is it? No. You get a little extra to take home tonight, and I get some time back in finding this cruta. How does that sound?”
